Ok. So I want you to breathe in and out. Deeply. Breathe like you mean it.
You are not a failure. You have never been a failure.
Lean back. Find a chair or a wall or anything you can put your weight on.
You are a good, kind person. Kind people can make mistakes, too. That doesn’t make them less kind, or bad.
Inhale. Let yourself recline. Release all of the weight on your chest with your next exhale. Relax your muscles. You’re okay.
You are smart. You are. It doesn’t matter what other people say. It doesn’t matter what the papers say. As long as you are willing to learn, you are a smart person.
Unlock your jaw. Let your tears go. Feel the little ball of anxiety in your belly heat up and warm your body from the inside. It’s not trying to hurt you. It only wants to protect you. You don’t need to be ashamed of it.
You are strong. You are. Give yourself more credit. You can come out of this a wiser, tougher person. Believe in yourself.
Inhale. Hold your breath for five seconds. Exhale.
You’re okay. You’re going to be okay. You can and you will get through this. It’s tough, yes. No one’s denying that. But so are you. You are strong and smart and a tough cookie and you’ve got this.
I believe in you.
